We thank all our guests for their continued support and patience whilst we remain open only for workers at this current time.
Although we are unsure exactly when we will be able to start accepting leisure guests again, we are working in conjunction with the official Scottish Government’s 3 weekly updates (not speculative statements or reports) so please follow the most recent updates below as and when they are posted.
* If you have made a refundable booking with us before the end of September 2020, and are unsure whether or not you wish to travel, then please give us a call and we will be happy to discuss your options.
* If you wish to make a leisure booking out with the current closed period (see latest update below for date) then please give us a call to discuss the flexible booking options and dates available.
* For non-refundable bookings please information see below.
* For those waiting on Gift Voucher refunds, these will be issued after the lock-down is lifted to ensure you get maximum validity. However if you wish these now, then please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your details.
We are of course following the social distancing guidelines as well as restructuring our food and beverage offerings to adhere to the current protocols required and, as we begin to welcome our leisure guests back to the hotel, restaurants, and bars, you can be assured that we will follow all precautionary hygiene and safety protocols directed by the local health organisations and government authorities.
We wish you health and happiness and will see you soon.

Non-Refundable/Advanced Purchase Bookings
For arrivals out with the closure date as stated in the latest update below: If you wish to cancel or amend an Advanced Purchase or Non-refundable reservation beyond our current closure date , we can offer you a gift voucher valid for 18 months (or longer if necessary) and/or a re-book option to a future date. This currently applies for bookings arriving on or before 30th September 2020. If these options are not suitable you can of course wait and see if, due to updated government guidelines, The Hotel cancels your booking in which case you will received a full refund. Please keep checking this page for updated closure dates.
Important change per 1 April 2020: By now we expect that all customers are aware of the risk of further Coronavirus spread, and as such know the risk you are taking when making any new non-refundable reservation. Therefore for all new non-refundable reservations made as of 1 April 2020, we will no longer apply Force Majeure conditions for guests seeking to cancel or modify these bookings due to the current Coronavirus. These reservations will be treated like any standard non-refundable booking, according to our policies and procedures.
Latest Update 28th May 2020
Following the statement given today by Edinburgh, unfortunately it means we are still unable to accept leisure travellers for the following 3 weeks.
If you are a leisure guest and have a booking with us due to arrive on or before 18th June, please contact us to discuss your cancellation/re-book options and we will also be contacting as many of you as possible over the coming days.
If you are an essential worker or corporate booker, then please call us directly for our priority customer reduced rates.
We are still taking leisure/holiday bookings for beyond this date, but these bookings will be subject to possible change due to continued legislation from the Scottish and UK Governments. We offer flexible cancellation policies when booking direct however any Advance Purchase or Non-refundable bookings made after 1st April are now considered to have been booked at the guest’s own risk and will not be eligible for a refund.
Thank you all again for your patience and we hope you are all keeping safe and well.
